On getting my nose pierced (again) and going back to work...
Two days ago I bit the bullet and got my nose pierced again. I had it pierced when I was younger from the ages of 19-around 28 and then took it out as I thought I was getting too old for it (and I wanted my mother-in-law to like me!). Ironically now I am 6 years older I have regressed and had it done again and oddly enough I feel much more 'me' all over. I must say though I didn't remember it hurting quite so much the first time round! The lady in the piercing place near our house did it with a needle rather than a gun (which are apparently illegal now) and it definitely made my eyes water! She was really nice though and we had a great chat afterwards about life, decisions, babies. It was good to be out of my christian bubble and remember what the world is like.
Talking of which, I went back to work today for the first time in 10.5 months. It hasn't actually been as bad as I had anticipated. It was yucky having to leave Reuben behind (but thankfully Tom is looking after him rather than having to hand him over to someone I didn't know) but it's quite easy to fit back into things here, see old friends and my favourite mug is even still here!
